Connect one library to multiple ensembles

Modified on Tue, Jul 11, 2023 at 10:47 AM

You can have one library connecting to multiple ensembles. By default, a new library is created with each new ensemble. However, you can delete it, create additional libraries, or link to other existing libraries.

  1. Go to My Organization and scroll down to Ensembles.
  2. Click the drop-down in Associated Libraries to select the library you want to add.
  3. Select the library you want to add from the drop-down list.

If the instrumentation in the ensemble does not match or parts are missing from the library you are linking, you will need to add matching parts to the library before linking. A pop-up screen will show which parts need to be added to the library.

You will need to do one of the following before you can add the library:

  • Click and drag any parts in the Library to missing part names boxes shown in the Ensemble.
  • Select Fill with Placeholder.

Add missing instrumentation to the Library

When you link a library to an ensemble without matching part names, action is required. The easiest way to avoid this is to add missing part names before linking the library.

  1. Open the ensemble.
  2. Go to the Parts & Libraries menu.
  3. Enter the part name and click Add Part.
